Show a card on your site

Choose a linked badge, an image or a widget that checks the card.

Add a badge to a README#

markdown
[![Veil card](https://veil.rip/o/veil/badge.svg)](https://veil.rip/o/veil)

Keep the badge linked to the card. The image reports the server’s status when it was generated and may be cached. Opening the card runs the checks in the reader’s browser.

Embed the card#

html
<iframe src="https://veil.rip/o/veil/embed"
  title="Veil organisation card" width="560" height="200"
  loading="lazy" referrerpolicy="no-referrer"></iframe>

The widget verifies the card in each visitor’s browser. It is read only and links to the full card. Allow frame-src https://veil.rip in your site’s Content Security Policy.

html
<div data-veil-org="2"></div>
<script src="https://veil.rip/embed.js" async></script>

For a person use data-veil-card. The script creates the frame. If you use it, also allow script-src https://veil.rip. Theme and language can be set with data-theme and data-lang.

Use a stable address#

Aliases make links easier to share. An alias can change or later belong to another card. Store the permanent card number when your app needs to remember a particular person or organisation.

Social apps can read Open Graph previews from a card link. oEmbed gives supporting tools a widget or a link response. Use the snippet builder for a live preview of your own card.
